Car accessory fail

I've been seeing more and more (shiatty) cars lately with stupid fake fender port hole things...is this the new generation of ricing?

Example

By the way, if you own a PT Cruiser on purpose, you should probably kill yourself. If you put fake fender port things on said car, you really fail at life.

What do you mean lately?

Its on more cars from factory nowadays than it used to be (see Ford).

It has been a rice trend forever, copying the M3 and what not

Fender vents and other stuff is one thing - I'm specifically talking about the lame set of 3 ovals above the fender on each side. Are all these morans making $20 impulse purchases at the auto parts store or do they go there looking to buy them? Mandatory sterilization should be included with every purchase.

I like the PT Cruiser(paint job sucks in your link), and the side ports look sharp on that car. I think they'd look good on any retro type car.

So these are just stick-ons? If so, that's kind of stupid. Real holes would look good, stick-ons are retarded.

So, whenever you see something you don't like, you have a desire to kill or maim.

I've seen someone put them on the roof of a last-gen Acura TSX. It was pretty lol.

Some cars have real holes (Buick Lucerne, BMW Z3 offhand).

I drive a Buick Lasabre which is a grandpa car. I've thought of pimping it up. Would be awesome. Super huge spoiler, racing stripes, Type-R stickers, oh and can't forget the flame decals. 😛

That's what I was thinking of. I knew I'd seen them before, and thought they looked good. I'm not a fan of cheapo accessories. It should be done right, or not at all.

Oh god yes. It's the newest in cheapo Autozone hook-ups for your car. Every bit as classy as LED tailpipes, HID conversion kits, and chrome rims on your Corolla.

If you care about others' cars then you should jump off of a bridge.

At least real HIDs can have a practical benefit.. 😛

A person's car says a lot about them - I'm here to save the future of humankind.

Yeah, or you're just a moron. My car is transportation.

anything is better than the car nuts (or bull balls?) that people have been putting on their trucks/SUVs

actually, i saw a lady driving a car with fake deer antlers on each door. similar to how you put up those flags. it was pretty dumb IMO.

Buick is actually the originator of the oval cowl vents copied today - back in the 30's and 40s.

One of the most reliable cars I've owned. Performs very well (at least with the turbo, base model is granny country - it's no V8 but at least I can pass someone and squeal tires through second gear). Looked unique at first till everyone and their brother got one. I bought one so my wife and I would be able to use same basic parts and I only have one car to be expert on.

Speaking fake air intakes/ports, I've always wondered, is there any point to the scoops on the sides of Mustangs?

I don't know about the sides, but the hood scoops on most Mustangs have a solid plastic 'grill' completely blocking any airflow. 😛
