i need a card (cheap as possible) that can capture both audio and video from a VCR using the red, yellow, white cables

thanks

One of those Dazzle Digital Video Editors should do the trick - it is a USB device that has the required inputs.

It supports XP, and appears as another device on the 'my computer' listing - even without its software installed, you can double-click the device and see the input.

Best Buy is a little pricey on it, but I have oneup for trade.

dderidex it seems that the reneiws for that hardware seem to be more negative than positive regarding the quality.
thanks for the heads up though

anyone know how the asus and leadtek compare in video/audio quality?

also all these cards i see on newegg... they dont seem to have the red and white audio inputs???
instead they have the audio in that is about the same size as my computer speakrs cord?
how do i get the audio from the vcr to the computer through the card?

Thanks

But you'll probably get better quality if you use a vido card with VIVO capability for the video input, and a soundcard with a breakout box that supports RCA-L and -R inputs. I think any of Creative's "Platinum" products do, as does the Hercules GameTheater XP.
