This is always funny to watch, Dear leader does no wrong ever, vs, sensible people pointing out the almost daily failures of the Obama administration.

On the other hand its always funny to watch people making a massive fuss about the most trivial things, its like they subscribe to websites that tell them to be offended about things.

Shame that a great man like Mandela gets lost in the news cycle of his own funeral.

Well it would probably help if people didnt fixate on fairly normal but inconsequential things that the guests are doing.

Is it a blackberry or iPhone?
Way to ask the important questions...and it's a Blackberry Z10;)

You can see the BB symbol in the middle back of the phone

It wasn't a funeral. It was a memorial service celebrating his life complete with hard charging gospel music led by none other than Kirk Franklin.

The funeral is this weekend I believe.

Wow-it took four pages of faux outrage for someone to actually point out the facts. This was a memorial service (and as Rudeguy inadvertantly pointed out, South Africians treat these as a celebration of the decedant's life, not as a sober rite), part of nearly a week long series. The actual funeral will be this upcoming Sunday.

The fact that three heads of state (Denmark, Great Britain and the US) took thirty seconds out is hardly newsworthy, much less rage/hate worthy.

But as the saying goes, can't stop haters from hating.

Lighten up Jules. Taking pictures at a funeral is in poor taste, bordering on out right rude. You'd think the POTUS would have someone around to coach him on little things like that.

guys, taking pictures is not okay, but filming and broadcasting it live worldwide is okay!

GET IT?

BB is the only phone certified by the NSA (seriously)
Yes I know, it's the only one with real security...but it's being reported that nobody knows who's phone it was and most are assuming it was hers and not Big O;)

Someone just did a write up on BO's phone and he didn't have the Z10. Plus with her being in the middle, I would assume its hers.

Look no one gives a shit what this guy does. The problem is that he represents all of us when he goes to these things. And now its worldwide news that he was taking selfies and the pics are on every website out there. Not just the right wing ones.

He is just proving he doesn't give a shit out us, our nation or how other nations see us. Fuck him.

Are you HONESTLY getting THAT upset over this photo? I can think of a dozen other things to be pissed off with Obama about instead of stupid shit like this.

I think you folks take stuff like this WAY too seriously.

I'm not upset in the least about the photo.

I'm fed up with him and the rest of the worthless government. Stuff like this just goes to prove how out of touch he is with the real world. Its not just him though, its all of DC. Its like they pump stupid gas into the air there.

You're putting too much into this, 3 more years and he's gone, just wait him out:p

And I think it was hers too, nice to see BB still has World Leaders backing them up:thumbsup:

"Normal" people don't take selfies?

Yeah the odds of two BB users happening to sit next to each other is fairly unlikely. :p

Could have swore Obama was a world leader, not a normal person.

Just for shits and giggles I googled "world leader selfies". Guess how many pics came up? (hint: unless Justin Bieber is a world leader, its 1)

You were seemingly implying that he was out of touch because he had a selfie taken. I was just pointing out that selfies don't seem at all out of touch.

That would actually be correct, I haven't seen one selfie where I thought the person was normal:p

That's a fair point though. :D

You, inadvertently, bring up a good point...why do people take selfies in the first place? Either for "bad" reasons (nekked) or nobody else there to take a picture of them. Obviously neither of those apply since there are a shit ton of photos being taken by pros. Why were they doing this? I can't say I care all that much but the logic of doing it is kind of lost on me...

as for the selfie's. party atmosphere who cares? I am glad they were celebrating his life and not a crying infested bs thing. Celebrate the mans life and accomplishments. Celebrate the people that came to honor him.

only thing i see missing is tons of food and beer

Who knows... quite frankly it bothers me about as much as what I'm having for lunch today.

When you said "bad" there you actually meant "only legitimate" didn't you? :)

Photos taken by the press are a bit different to relaxed candid shots that you own and have control of.
