Capstone Project Ideas

I'm in my senior year studying EE, and I'm going to be completing a Senior Design Project in order to graduate... the only problem is I'm stuck when it comes to ideas. I enjoy doing things more on the Computer Engineering side of things, such as FPGAs and Microcontrollers etc. We have used Altera FPGAs and NIOS II soft processors in our labs and I like working with those types of projects as well.

I would like to come up with a project that is challenging, however still within my abilities, since my graduation does depend on the completion of the project. Any ideas/experience with cool projects?

EDIT: This is a group project (4 of us working together)

Is it a group or individual project? Group stuff opens up a lot more options as far as difficult projects and things.

You should create a Dystonia belt. Basically, attach a taser and a GPS to it. As long as the person wearing the belt either walks backwards, or runs above a certain speed they do not get tased.

You're only deciding what to do for Capstone now? It's almost November, better get a move on!

For me, coming up with an idea is the hardest part, so I'm trying to get that taken care of.

We had to have our proposals in like a month ago, that's why I was kind of worried about you guys..

We don't have to have ours in until like Januaray... So for my University I'm still technically ahead of schedule, but it's still recommended we get a head start.
