Capitalism at its finest

When did you get yours? and were they originals printed 9/12 or copies made later? I'd be interested in pursuing that if its the former.
 
they're reprints... you can backorder issues from the nytimes. they look exactly the same, there's no way you can tell the difference... they use the same plates and stuff. so i guess i don't see where you would benefit from having one that was printed that day as opposed to some other day. besides just knowing that it was printed that day, i suppose.
 
i'm sure there is a way to tell. I know that the Detroit Free Press has a way of keeping track of which print the paper is. They print 3 times during the night, an early one, a midnight one, and a early morning one. YOu can tell by looking at the dots on the front page, near the top, after the name. Its a good way of knowing if the sports scores you wanted will be in there 🙂

yea, i guess if you *really* wanted to find out 😛 i just meant to say that there isn't some tacky print that says "REPRINT" on it or something.

depends on how fast you want them too, nytimes takes a while to ship them to you... you might get them faster through ebay.
 
damn i cant believe he got 75 copies, hard to believe he is making money off the tragedy.
but i cant blame him, he is just taking advantage of whats already been done, kinda like all the flag companies, making all these pop up ads on the internet a while ago.

My parents still have their copy of (I forget which paper) from the first Moon landing. I'll keep my copy of The Wall Street Journal from 9/12 in the same way.
