<< What planet are you visiting from? Sounds like it could be a nice vacation spot. >>

lol, if you're nice I'll invite you over one day ;)

jjones, you stated this earlier in response to Elledan:

<< Laws are in place to answer the questions of what to do about those that trespass the rules of society. They're not perfect but at least they are an answer while we can continue to study behavior. Or does society just put everything on hold until the perfect answers arrive? No, I didn't think so. >>

If somebody is currently a menace to society, the obvious answer is to segregate him and then treat him. The problem is that many people here don't think behavior and problems pertaining to it are understood. If you search, you will find that research on mental illness has been done and solutions have been found.

<You seem to think that some people are beyond redemption, beyond help. That is not the case.>

Then you haven't met some of the people I've met.

I've been in contact with many ex-cons, junkies, sundry criminals, more than one of whom has killed another human. I'm talking daily contact, for several years. Up close and personal. And you?

Some people are just bad. I didn't used to think so. But now I believe.

And what if I told you that it's possible to cure them cheaply and easily? Make them honest, productive members of society? Even the most vile, despicable person. We must understand why people do the things they do. Then we must help fix them and not ignore them.

Then if you know how to do this, why are you keeping it secret? Are you the first in the history of mankind to figure out this mystery? Can you point to examples?

Or is this just masturbatory rhetoric from a beige tower?

I don't have PMS - I'm a man, even if I seem cranky.

Oh - you mean PMs. Not really into that, thanks. Besides, the whole world could benefit from your solution if it's viable.
