Capital One insults me with a $500 Platinum cc!

Burn em! Capital One is the Devil!
They give people those low limit cards, knowing that most will hti that limit and surpass it pretty quick.
Thats where the astronomical over-limit fees kick in, then there's the equally huge late-fees if ever you miss a payment deadline.

Fvsk them!

I dunno why so low, oh well I don't really need another cc already have

$5k CitiBank
$5k Bank cc
$10k Fleet

But $500? Come on that's only $200 higher than my FIRST credit card almost 10 years ago.

I am approved for 2grand card from capitalone (I am 17 and only work during the summers, so the $500 one I have now is MORE than enough) apparently they know about you being a ferengi and figure you won't end up spending all that much (ha)

I also rec'd a very low credit K-mart Visa (or maybe MC - whatever) and it was issued through CapitalOne, perhaps they just suck in general.

<< Oh that's an insult a 17 yr old gets a $2k limit and I get $500?
$#@!
>>

He said he was approved, not that he had received the card. That's just messed up though.

I have a box in my shop I throw all the cc crap mailed to me. I just tear my name off and any "preapproved code". Once every 5 or 6 weeks I stuff everything I can fit into the return envelopes; cc offers, 2nd mortgage offers, starving children fund requests, leftover NRA stuff, kids drawings from school, etc. They have to pay first class business return postage. I don't know what the bill is for one of those but I'm sure its not cheap. Their postage meter sound like a taxi meter I bet.

<< Sounds like BS to me.

Microwave it.
>>

That sounds like a great idea, what happens if I microwave a credit card?

i got a $300 k-mart card last summer... i thought that was insulting... the kicker is that only $200 was useable at non-k-mart stores.

No idea. Are credit cards made of plastic? It'll probably melt or something.

Put it in a secure container so that your microwave is safe. 🙂

At least they let you use it elsewhere. 🙂

You may have maxed out your available unsecured credit. You already have 20K in available debt, why would you need any more? 😀

Cut it up!
I got one a year ago, $500 limit and $29 annual fee. The rep got upset when I called to cancel .:disgust:

Hot Deals. 😉

Good God, $500? I've got a FirstUSA card with a $23,000 credit limit. I think the rep was kind of new or something though. He combined a FirstBank account and a FirstUSA account onto one card and simply added the limits together.

Oh, and Capital One can lick my naughty places. They're the worst.

rofl, yeah I love capitol one, they need to do some better research before sendin those out...my dad got one last weekend for $5k and almost died laughing. He has 2 amex cards with limits at $300k, a discover @ $100k, and a Visa @ 100k...he about pissed his pants when he saw 5k...rofl

Thats a big negative, sir! Discover is, I know..I worked there 😉

Capital One did the same to me. I had it for a year or so and wasn't using it so I went to cancel it. Couple of weeks later they offered me a substantially larger line of credit and a good interest rate so I signed back up.
