Capacitor fun

We used to have a lot of fun with 10,000 µF capacitors at my first job. They make excellent tazers.

Well, one thing is for sure: [When surprised h]e curses in English so...
Native or [very f]luent.

Edit: Maybe not. He's acting, apparently.

1. Relevance?

2. Everyone on the planet curses in English. I curse in Spanish, and I speak Spanish about as well as Jessica Simpson does astrophysics. Puta de madre!

I'm talking about true exclamations when surprised but, seeing his other videos, he's clearly acting. I was clearly wrong about the "for sure" part now that I know that staged electronics fails are his thing. I know I've seen his vids before too (unibrow wave 😀).

All I'm saying is that, if he wasn't acting, he is very westernized despite the accent.

I know exactly what you are saying, what I'd like to know is why you are saying it. Once again, relevance?

When I was working on my AAS in electronics I did a safety demonstration and purposefully blew an electrolytic capacitor under a shield. I've seen the aluminum shells on caps embed in the ceiling, nothing to take lightly. Also, when it comes to shocking someone, the medium to large caps have enough charge you can stop someones heart.

When my start/run cap failed on my condensing unit it sounded like a shotgun blast in the backyard, when I took off the cover of the unit to inspect it, all there was left was the terminal strip with the wires attached to it, the oil was everywhere, what a mess, good thing was a local AC parts house had 'em in stock for $7.99..

My dad had some that he worked with when he was making his motor controllers way back when for his X/Y tables... he blew a few of them up. They smelled like roasted peanuts.

really? the ones ive seen blow up smelled like rotten outhouses...

An observation from a video is inherantly relevant to that video. I don't see you demanding relevance from those who observed and stated that it was humorous. :colbert:
