The "Trucker Convoy" and these affiliates seem to have the smarts of the Proud Boys/MAGA, but there's certainly a difference in tone. A lot of that difference comes down to Gun tolerance/culture. Here, if you merely carry an improperly contained Gun to your car, there's a good chance someone will call the cops and you'll get a stern talking too or Fine. It is. Don't wanna sound like an old guy, but it was better 20 years ago before it became a tourist "destination". Many of the places I used to go have been logged, but then again I was in on it so, yeah...fuck. But yes, going for a walk after work (not logging) is great, laying in the mossy forest and hearing the waves and birds, catching the fish or whales breaching is the shit. And eating fresh salmon, halibut and cod and prawns and the smell of a cedar fire...
But if too many more tourists come here in their fucking Mercedes sports cars and BMWs I'm going to become a crotchety old fuck. Come here in an old pickup or 4x4 you don't give a shit about and you'll find some paradise.

Yeah, just looked at it on Streetview (though it seems it's more "boatview" for that area). Beautiful. Brings to mind Solsthiem from Morrowind!

I did once get as close as Vancouver Island. Though having no car, when I got there I realised I couldn't really do anything except wander around near where the ferry docked and then get the ferry back to the mainland again.
