"Canuckistan" my ass. Remind me again which "first world" country is the one with no universal health care, lower academic rankings, creeping christian fascism, partisan entertainment posing as news media and depending on location drastically reduced women's rights? Other than that quibble, yes, idiots are all over the globe. Do you ever watch news from sources outside the U.S.? BTW - that stupid trucker thing was funded in large part by U.S. right wing nutjobs and hyped by their media like Fox, Newsmax and OAN, and as the overall goal was to replace the Canadian Government should be being thought of as an attempted coup by hostile foreign entities. 'Twould be a fine thing to extradite some Fox hosts and see who told them to hype that fiasco.

Firstly be advised I'm laughing WITH you here not AT you! (we really need more "reaction" emojis!)

Secondly I'd 100% certainly rather live in Canada except maybe for the "artic" parts then in 'murica.

Well not in the western half of Canada. That’s our southern rednecks.

Yeah but they have Lake Louise! :D (skibig3.com)

About the most beautiful place I've ever skied.... even prettier than Heavenly Lake Tahoe, Jackson Hole or Aspen Highlands.

For the record, I'm on Haida Gwaii and we refer to the mainland as Canada.

Had to Google that .... looks beautiful from what I can see on Google maps!

Sadly/happily for you it looks like the Google map-mobile hasn't made its way out there just yet so no "street-view" available even where there are paved roads visible!

;)

Canadian civil war ?? ;)

"The Canadian Civil War broke out during the second Gamer-Furry War. The Canadian Gamers were still angered by the Furry invasion early on during the war. Inspired by the success of the Kyotian Empire in Japan, they decided en-mass to push as many Furries as possible out of their land."

Sounds like it was brutal! :p

Folks like that "squatting" on your property are what riot-police were made for!

The "Trucker Convoy" and these affiliates seem to have the smarts of the Proud Boys/MAGA, but there's certainly a difference in tone. A lot of that difference comes down to Gun tolerance/culture. Here, if you merely carry an improperly contained Gun to your car, there's a good chance someone will call the cops and you'll get a stern talking too or Fine. These tards want so much to be Oath Keepers or some other US equivalent, but they are limited to Super Soakers. That both Pleases me and Amuses me.

Didulo claimed that Queen Elizabeth II was executed last year and that “white hats and the US military, together with the global allied troops and their governments” helped place Didulo as the sovereign of the “Great White North.”

What I find (slightly) interesting is that this seems to demonstrate the madness is able to mutate and spawn new sub-branches. Q seems to be an 'open source' conspiracy theory - everyone is now freely adding their own elements to the structure. I guess you can pick which 'distro' you prefer.

Still a Venn diagram of right wing, religious, anti science and IQ in the 2 digits.

It's like Religion. Spawn as many variations you like.

It really is like religion, in the sense that is compulsive behavior. Where Occam says hey, Keep it Simple Stupid, they have a brain that just spins off in a tangent and creates this entire world out of whole cloth. "Don't look closely at that sensible shit over there, focus on this shiny new bullshit theory. Shiny shiny!"

I've always wanted to go there , it looks like an amazing place.
It is. Don't wanna sound like an old guy, but it was better 20 years ago before it became a tourist "destination". Many of the places I used to go have been logged, but then again I was in on it so, yeah...fuck. But yes, going for a walk after work (not logging) is great, laying in the mossy forest and hearing the waves and birds, catching the fish or whales breaching is the shit. And eating fresh salmon, halibut and cod and prawns and the smell of a cedar fire...
But if too many more tourists come here in their fucking Mercedes sports cars and BMWs I'm going to become a crotchety old fuck. Come here in an old pickup or 4x4 you don't give a shit about and you'll find some paradise.

One of my old friends spent most of his summers there. he's getting a little old to make the trek now.
The mystery about these whack jobs is they have the innate ability to clump together.
Sad to hear about your friend. The qanon are like kitty litter in that when pissed or shit on they clump together like they NEED it.
Off topic, but is that a P51 in your avatar?

Also in the sense that they have faith in what they are told, by the people they trust, without question, and that they reject what anyone else tells them, including the mainstream media and scientists.

Yeah, just looked at it on Streetview (though it seems it's more "boatview" for that area). Beautiful. Brings to mind Solsthiem from Morrowind!

I did once get as close as Vancouver Island. Though having no car, when I got there I realised I couldn't really do anything except wander around near where the ferry docked and then get the ferry back to the mainland again.
