Someone said it was the "long-awaited sequel to Requiem for a Dream," but I don't really see it. They both will likely be messed up movies, but not a sequel even in the loosest of terms, other than the fact that it's his "next" movie.Originally posted by: clamum

Trivia: Instead of using CGI, Aronofsky chose to do the special effects for the film by using micro-photography of chemical reactions on tiny petri dishes. He has said that CGI would take away from the timeliness of the film and that he wants the film to stand the test of time.

Garghh... I hate you OP. I was doing extremely well at repressing all knowledge of this film. That is the only way I won't die of impatience waiting for it to come out. Now you have triggered the opening of the impatience vault and it will take me weeks to forget this movie exists. Grrrr.

How do you do it man?
I've been checking IMDB for this movie at least once a week for the last several years. When I heard It was being put on the back burner because someone wanted to do a Batman movie instead, I was pretty upset.
My expectations are through the roof for this movie, if it's anywhere close to as good as what I am hoping for then I will be ecstatic.
