Cant view some avi's?

I cant view avi's on my new computer. I downloaded the newest Realplayer, divx, and windows media player but it wont let me view videos that were made on a webcam. How do i go about getting these to work? Also i have Realplyer as my universal media player and avi;s are clicked to be able to play.

Make sure you have the right filters. Best ones IMO are Divx, AC3, and ffd show.

Go to divx page. And go to google, and search for "free codecs".

get gspot, it will tell you what codec was used.

It says the file i need is IV50 codec but its an intel codec and i have amd . Also LM20 codec. how do i do this?
