Can't use interactive CD-ROM...Help!

When I put in a CD-ROM with data, everything is fine. However, when I put in a game CD that interacts with installed game file on computer, the CD is not recognized. I recently installed the new VIA 4in1 on my KA7 mobo running Win98SE. The CD works fine on another computer (Duron 700@920, KT7 with new 4in1 drivers). This is my 4 year old kid's favorite Dinosaur game!
