Can't update thread title?

Are you trying to change the thread title, which is currently "**OFFICIAL** PlayStation Plus Free/Sales Thread" or the title of the first post?
 
Also, make sure that you go to the advance screen so you can see the title.

I go to edit the first post, click "Go Advanced" and it has what I want it to be changed to there (**OFFICIAL** PlayStation Plus Free/Sales Thread - Updated 6/11/13) but it won't update the original thread title.

What would you like the new thread title to be? One of the forum features is that after a certain period of time (2 weeks?) regular users can't edit the thread title. We'll have to change it for you.

LOL My question wasn't a yes or no one.

The thread has a title. It is "**OFFICIAL** PlayStation Plus Free/Sales Thread". If you look at the forum page with the thread listings, that is what you see. I gather now that you are not trying to change that.

The thread title is not "**OFFICIAL** PlayStation Plus Free/Sales Thread - Updated 6/11/13." That is the title of your first post in the thread.

As Virge said, titles can't be changed after a period of time, but it doesn't sound like you're trying to change the thread title, just the post title and I wasn't aware of a time restriction on that, although there may be.

If it won't alter any more, you may have to choose a post title without a date as I don't think any mod is going to be willing to change it for you every day or so. We can change it to your new chosen one and have it remain that. I don't know of another solution.
 
Ah, I now see that yours was a two part question allisolm, sorry.

I am trying to change the actual thread title to reflect the date of the most recent PSN update, this way those who glance at it know that it's been updated recently (think of Kaotic's thread in PC gaming) I knew that it was possible as I've done it before with FS/WTB threads, but I was not aware of the restriction outside of the marketplace area.

I'll just keep it as is.

We don't have the ability to change the thread title lock. It's not something that's controlled on a per-thread basis. Sorry.🙁
 
Thread titles in FS/FT are a horse of a different color and are changed differently. You have never changed the title of your thread that is being discussed here and I guess 2+ months is over the time limit. KaOTiK just started his thread on 6/03 will not be able to change the date in his title when the title time change period ends either.
