i went to device manager under control panel>system and tried to uninstall my WAN Miniport but it wont let me. Theres a error:

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

But i have the correct driver and windows just hates it and keeps saying Code 31. So i im tyring to uninstall it but it says:

Failed to uninstall the device. The device may be required to boot up the computer.

Anyone know how to uninstall it? Or force it to remove or something? help me plz!

BTW: i tried safe mode and i tried disabling TCP/IP(local area connection properites) along with my "Eithernet PCI adapter" and still it didn't work.

EDIT: Theres multiple WAN Miniport like #3, #4, #4, #5 and i want to remove them. is there any way to force it to uninstall?

I've gotten that message when trying to remove borked Belkin 802.11b + PCI adapter drivers (Prism2 card). They screw up when installing them on virtually any PC and I always have to work that out somehow. I do believe the software had something to do with it, though I don't see how uninstalling it would allow me to remove the device from the device manager.
