A Russian woman is in intensive care after attempting to restore her virginity for the sixth time, according to a report on mosnews.com.

The woman, identified only as Natalia K., had her first hymenoplasty operation six years ago before getting married, the Russian Web site Life.ru reports.

Hymenoplasty, also known as hymenorrhaphy or hymen reconstruction surgery, is a type of plastic surgery that involves the restoration of the hymen. The aim of this surgery is to ensure bleeding during sexual intercourse, giving the appearance that the woman is a virgin.

Natalie K. had the surgery before her wedding because her husband was upset that she had already lost her virginity to another man. However, he apparently liked the results of the surgery so much, he asked his wife to have the surgery each year following their wedding.

Doctors warned Natalie K. that having the surgery for the sixth time posed risks, however she chose to go through with it. She caught a ?minor infection? after the surgery and is now in intensive care.

Damn... Crazy stuff, but doesn't surprise me much. A surgery like that is expensive. Most likely one of those chicks that would do anything to stay with a loaded guy, so there you go.
 
How do you restore your virginity? Once you had sex, you had sex. You're no longer a virgin lol. Only a time machine can fix that, and those are not really available to consumer use yet. 😛

People have different definitions of what virginity is. For example, there are girls who have not had sex but think they are not virgins because their hymen is broken.

Not saying I agree, but there are people who think differently.

Yeah, lots of stories floating around about girls breaking their hymen from masturbation, or not having one in the first place (happens commonly, too) and then getting a major hassle from their husbands who think they were tricked into marriage by major league sluts.

I'm sure he put a lot of pressure on her to get the surgery. She's still a moron for agreeing to keep doing it I guess, but what kind of husband would allow his wife to engage in a pointless risky surgery like this? Guy sounds like a pretty big douche IMO.

it's one of the many truths I've learned (mostly the hard black & blue way) out of real life thus far, magnanimously shared for benefit of whichever guys here on atot may not yet have been dragged over the rough and very very very very (very, trust me on that, you would call shens yet it's true, were talking multi-millions ) very V E R Y expensive (money & heartache for a sensitive soul like I am ) road that many others here and I too have traveled.

Not implying that you're an idiot... that's a bit of a stretch. Maybe jaded or bitter. Maybe you have had a rough go of it, but this post isn't about you... it's about a woman in Russia.

In reading that article, I have a hard time seeing how she manipulated or took advantage of him. He sounds like a manipulative douche, and she sounds like someone caught in the abusive/co-dependent relationship trap.

There are no winners in this one.
