can't start outlook?

Everytime i try to open outlook application, I always get a mesage telling me "Outlook failed to start correctly last time. Starting Outlook in safe mode will help you correct or isolate the problem in order to successfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode. Do you want to start outlook in safe mode? YES NO"

No matter what I click, outlook won't start. Does anybody know what seems to be the problem? I use original version of microsoft office XP, not the bootleg version.

Help please...
