Can't sleep..

No, I STILL haven't gotten my raise.
Yes, she's STILL lying to my face about it.
Yes, I've taken it to the director. My manager keeps blowing smoke up my director's ass about it.

I was dreaming that I told my manager off REALLY LOUD in the office in front of everybody. I was so angry I woke up pissed. I can't believe I'm letting her get to me. But the repeated lies, the lack of any management abilities, and the fact that I can't seem to get my $$ (which is now at a cool grand) is just setting me off.

There's another guy in my department who she's doing the same thing to. We had a meeting with the director who said she'd look into it. Riiighhttt....

All the other managers keep coming up to me telling me what an awesome job I'm doing. What do I get from my manager? "You don't cause me any stress." Wow. Now THAT's a morale booster. :roll:

Think of something manupilative , something that you can do to screw her happiness in your sleep.........Just think of making her unhappy in your sleep. That should make you feel better. Not that I am implying that you actually have to go and make her unhappy, but jut imagine if she were unhappy....

what do you wear to work? if you don't wear a suit, i suggest you wear a suit a couple of times next week and tell your boss and the director that you have to take a long lunch, or come in a little late those days and say you had something to take care of.

just the idea of you interviewing might get your boss off her incompetent ass.

A better plan would be to do as suggested but to actually apply for, and interview at other jobs. If they aren't paying you your salary why are you going to work?

I wouldn't do that unless you are prepared to back it up. It could backfire horribly.

My old manager has been looking for a new job. He's REALLY unhappy. He got an offer at another large bank, and he's gone once he passes his background check. Assuming that happens, he's already offered me a job with him. 😀
