My setup is very simple. a wireless laptop and a lan connected PC i am trying to share files between both through a netgear router connected to a cable modem. My laptop is running M Vista and my home pc is running windows XP. They are both on the same workgroup. They both have drives shared .. i can see the my wireless machine from the pc machine but i cant access any folders. I cant see anything from the wireless about my pc . some help well be appreciated. thanks.

In Vista as is you can not share the Drive you have to share specific folders.

Otherwise may be this can Help.

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
