Can't select refresh rate??? Help!

My old 17" Trinitron monitor went pop and fizzle and now I am relegated to a 15" until I get a new 17" monitor.
I have one problem - I can't get the option to select the refresh rate with the 15" monitor installed?
I'm running a GeForce which always gave me the option with previous monitors - any ideas?
I'm fickering all over the place here... ;(
One other thing i have noticed is that any changes I make to the monitor are not "remembered" when I restart - could this be a monitor driver problem?
 
I think you hit the nail on the head: monitor driver probably. Really it's just a monitor.inf file. Find the manufacturer and get the correct file and update the monitor drivers. That should solve your problem.

Oh, and get a 19". At the prices they're at these days, why not? 🙂
