I just built a friend a computer and went with a A7V133, Ordered the board and a 1 GHz 266 processor, Set the board up in jumper free mode and it booted up on his old harddrive as a 750 MHz, Tried to change it to 7.5X133 and it locked the computer, The highest you can get it to go with a SK6 is 855 MHz, Could it be newegg sent me a 750 for a 1 GHz processor

look at the core of the CPU itself. if it truly is a 1GHz, then the first line will start out A1000 or something like that, whrereas if its a 759, it will start out with A0750 or something similar.

Use the jumpers to configure the board as there have been many posts that deal with your issue and evidently the "jumper free" mode is to blame. If your interested in knowing what your CPU's numbers mean look Here it's under section 11-ordering information. Post back if the problem persists when using the jumpers.

Well if it locks up in the jumper free mode wouldn't it lock in a jumper mode, I looked at the die and their wasn't any numbers unlike a 1.33 I put on another A7V133

Not necessarily. As I stated, people have posted that the "jumper free" mode caused instabilities that using the jumpers corrected. Also, write down the numbers off the CPU and check the I.D. chart because unless it's the indentical CPU(it's not) to the 1.33 you used in the other system it most assuredly is different and can be verified using the chart ;)

Well I set it up with jumpers, 7.5X133 1 GHz 266 and it wouldn't even boot up set it back to jumper free and it boots as a 750, Runs great but the guy doesn't want a 750, I can't remember what the die said I know their were no numbers on it I have a SK6 on it and not in the mood to take it off right now
