I have an A8N-Deluxe with a one year old clawhammer 4000+. Problem is I can't raise the voltage any higher than 1.5625 without locking up. I even ran everything on stock and bump the voltage to 1.575 and it still locked up. I don't think the proc is the problem because people can even go up to 1.7vcore with those old 130nm. So I don't if its the BIOS or just my chip.

My proc is still working. Remember this is a clawhammer, the stock is 1.5V. It should be able to hit 1.6V with no hiccup, which is why i'm not sure why it locks up everytime I raise it over 1.5625. With the current 1.5625 I am on 28C idle, so I think I can definitely bump it up but it just won't let me without locking up on me.

Could be that the chip just doesn't like it... our the mobo. It'd be a little strange, but it's possible.

Is at 2.75(239x12). I guess it may have hit the limit on this old chip. I thought it can at least hit 2.8 with a bit more voltage because I saw a few people in ocforums got their 3500+ clawhammer to 2.8 at like 1.6V. I guess this just shows certain chips are different.
