I've just installed it and when I try to run it I get an error window saying System info Error: System Error

Anyone had this or know how to fix it?

Hmm. I downloaded and installed DX9. I ran dxdiag just to make sure and it reports that I'm running 9.0

That's strange... which NVidia drivers you running?
perhaps the latest drivers would help.

Running an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro. Switched from Nvidia. Got rid of the old drivers best I could on XP (Detonator Destroyer says they don't support XP yet). I uninstalled the card and uninstalled the drivers using control panel. Although when I start up it still seems to look for 2 Nvidia programs.

I'm running the latest ATI drivers. 3.2

Do any other 3D applications cause problems? have you run some games?
I"m not surprised it won't work.. video card switches lead to problems (without formatting) alot of the time.

No other problems. Just ran UT2003. Played a round of Capture the Flag. Played faster and smoother than when I had the Geforce4 TI 4600 in it.

Just noticed that I was running DX 9.0 and there was DX 9.0a out so I just upgraded it. Still the same problem. In DxDiag it reports only problems with DirectPlay. Says the registry settings are missing or damaged. Other than that all else checks out fine.

Dont even waste your time worrying about the new 3Dmark it drops so low in some tests it makes you think you need to spend money on your comp when you dont IMHO.

Well weird. I can run 3d Mark 2003 now. Still not sure what the problem was. I installed the Omega drivers then uninstalled them and rolled back to the Catalyst 3.2 from ATI. I also fixed a problem that I found that prevented Nvidia's Media Center and Nwiz utility from being removed completely. Not sure which of the above did it but somewhere along the line it got fixed and I could run it.

3942 And it died during the sound test. Something about an illegal parameter being passed.
