Can't recognize SD card or Memory stick on Dazzle 8 in 1 reader

I bought a Dazzle Hi-Speed Universal 8 in 1 writer/reader from Dell recently. It reads Compact Flash card OK but it can't read Secure Digital card or SONY memory stick. Double-click the drive, it prompts "Please insert a disk into drive F:" If right-mouse click drive and choose "Format," I got "There is no disk in drive S. Insert a disk, aand then try again" message.
I have 2 SD cards and both are readable on Pocket PC but not readable with this reader.

Could it be a bad drive?

mine works fine.

if you took out that upc for rebate, i don't know how they are gonna replace it for you, maybe contact dazzle
