I updated my bios, and it gave me another option to run my proccesor speed at 2.1ghz, which is a 166 mhz fsb(currently at 133) However, as soon as I leave bios my system just hangs, and nothing happens. So I go back into bios to change it and it tells me something like "you are running at a 166mhz fsb make sure your ram is at least ddr333), and it is, I've even tried it with each stick in there alone. Im thinking bios has my ram speed locked, but I dont see anything in bios to unlock it or change it.

I concur....

Additionally you may want to check to see what the timings are on both sticks of RAM... if your PC3200 is of a lower latency than your PC2700 then loosen its timings to run with the PC2700 (you can't change individual stick but set everything to SPD for the PC2700 is what I am getting at)

I'm not sure if that will have an effect but it certainly can't hurt can it?

thansk for replies, what is a good program for checking ram speeds inside windows or messing with their speeds inside windows? Im gonna try increasing the voltage, but by how much right now its a 1.75
