Hi.

Recently, I've upgraded to WMP11 on my XP Desktop. However, like WMP10, I can't play my MPEG 2 files. I'm told to download some sort of codec.

Would any of you guys know were I'm supposed to get this "codec"? I would greatly appreciate any assistance in this regard.

you require an MPEG2 decoder such as provided by any of the DVD player software out there (Cyberlink, WinDVD, etc) or something like Nvidia's purevideo codec.

I recommend the standard or full packs if he's not going to be watching or editing some of the rare/dead codecs that the mega pack supports.

this is the official site I believe.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll be sure to do some research on everything and try what looks best.

Cheers.

This should fix up your WMP to do the job. No charge!
