i have an 800eb and an asus cusl2 with mushkin rev2. i usually have it oc'ed to 900mhz, but this week after installing the new bios 1006beta3, i've been trying higher speeds. the highest i've hit is 990mhz, can't do 1002. however, 978mhz should be stable. anyways, i am not able to cold boot to these speeds past 900mhz. this overclocking is only possible after i've had the system running for a while.

has anybody else experienced this or know why or how to fix it?

thanks

I assume that you had to raise the voltage to boot to those speeds?

You are subject to the "cold boot bug" of the CUSL2. It appears that your processor needs more than default voltage to boot up at high overclocked speeds. The problem with the CUSL2 is that it does not load user voltage settings until after POST is complete on a cold boot. This is why you cannot cold boot at those speeds.

There appears to be no fix for this problem.
