Hi all,

I have an old Samsung phone (don't see any model number on the phone anywhere). It's one you have to flip open, and it's old enough that it doesn't have the outside LCD (so I have to open it if I want to know what time it is, for example). I got it in Sept 2005 when I signed up with Sprint.

Anyway, the clock sets itself when it's turned on where I have signal (in the US). However, I am now on vacation in Canada, and so I have it on "phone off" mode. The problem is, the battery had died on the flight, so it has lost the time, and I can't seem to find the option in this crappy UI to set the clock manually.

I'm starting to think it's not possible with this phone, given how crappy the software is... but then again, said crappiness has made it really hard to find other regular features, so I'm hoping there is a magic incantation someone here might know about.

Thanks!

Ah, good call. It appears to be the A660 from Samsung. I found the manual for it online, but it doesn't bring up anything useful when searching through for the terms "clock" or "time"

Just turn the phone on. CDMA phone in Canada will be on the same frequency. i.e. you will get service. GPS is free as it's the required timing source for CDMA.
