I got a new build and when i try to install windows on it, i get an error that says couldn't load file "d:/**/setup.c". Is this because of my windows cd or because of any hardware config in my system?
appreciate any help guys, thanks in advance.

New build:
amd 64 x2 3800
biostar tforce6100-939
512mb g.skill 2.5-3-3-6 ram
samsung spinpoint 80gb

Did you check your CMOS to see if your system recognizes the CD-ROM drive?

You could test it by borrowing a friend's CD. If it's the same, or a close version, your legal CD key will probably work, and you'll know if the problem is your CD. You'll have to contact Microsoft about a replacement, but using another CD is not illegal as long as you have your own legit copy.
