Can't load MSOE.DLL for Outlook Express

Brand new clean format-install of 98se, and when I try to open Outlook Express, I get "Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be loaded." The file is in the Outlook Express directory in Program Files. I tried deleting it and extracting it from the Win98 cab files. Got it back in the directory, but it still won't load. I've been looking for some place I can go to reinstall OE (or do I have to try to reinstall IE5 completely?) If there's an easier fix, I'd sure rather not try a whole reinstall.

You can try reinstalling outlook express by going into control panel - add/remove programs, then do an add/remove for internet explorer 5. Select add a component, then on the next screen, scroll down to communication components and select outlook express. Click next and if it asks, select reinstall all components.

I tried that method before and it seemed to work.

Hope that helps

(EDIT)

There's a similar thread on this problem here.

If you scroll down to Supergax's post, he has a link to a KB article which details how you would manually uninstall/reinstall
outlook express 5.x under win2k. I'm not sure what you would change to get it to work on win98 though...
