I have tried the flexinstaller and I forget who's, but a regular service install. It says that a required .DLL is missing.

any idea what I can do to get this computer up and running.

What's the name of the DLL? You should be able to download it from someplace.

It a visual basic run-time DLL. You can get it Here

download your Visual Basic run-time file (MSVBVM60.DLL). The .ZIP file you download will contain one single .DLL.

Simply UnZip the file into your Windows\System folder. This folder goes by several names on different systems. It may be called Windows\System32, Win95\System32, WinNT\System32 or any of these without the "32" at the end (if you have both, choose the folder with the "32" at the end).

Figures. I don't have a single Win98 PC that I could use to send you the file. :(

Check with Bot or Shux, they should be able to help. :)

If you installed the setup.exe for the flexinstaller all of those files are there, they should be under program files\flexinstaller if you just copied the flexi.exe over it wont work correctly, it needs some of the support files from the install.
