Cant Install OS on new comptuer

I have just setup all the BIOS settings on my new Abit KG7 + AthlonXP 1700 and put in a boot disk for win2k. It reads Disk I/O Error. I try using a Windows 98 Startup Disk and it loads. But I cannot get anywhere on it because it says I need to partition and FDisk first. I can't access command prompt so how will I FDisk?

if u say win98 startup disk and it loads.. it goes into a: prompt? what do u mean it loads if u cant goto command prompt?


you might have to get a partitioning disk for win2k because it uses NTFS system instead of fat32.
