"This executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted"

I've downloaded this thing numerous times from numerous sources just to eliminate the possibilty an abberant corrupted download. I'm thinking this may be SP2 related (data execution prevention) but I haven't heard anyone else complain about this. If you guys don't mind helping or just offering your 2 cents, here are my specs:

A7N8X REV 2 1010 BIOS
AMD MOBILE 2500 @2.5GHZ AIR COOLED
512MB (2 X 256MB) PC3200 MUSHKIN LEVEL 2 @ 2-2-2-4
EVGA 6800NU
430 WATT ANTEC TRUE POWER
2 WD SATA 80GB NON-RAID
SILICON IMAGE SII 3112 PCI SATA CONTROLLER
USING AC97 ONBOARD REALTEK ALC650 SOUND
JUNK IEEE 1394 PCI BOARD
USING ON BOARD NIC
winxp SP2
directx 9.0c
61.77 WHQL display driver

Can't think of much else as far as components and drivers go. Here's what I've tested when trying to install the driver:

Peak 44*C on CPU
set CPU to original timings (even when recognized at an mobile athlon 600mhz)
set memory to very relaxed timings (all the way down to 3-3-3-9 @ 333mhz)
tried to install in safe mode on the off chance, didn't work
tried to download and unpack file in numerous places on both drives
Have not tried reformatting and installing drives on a fresh install (would like to avoid this if possible)

Whatever you guys can do to help I'd really appreciate it.
