Dear Friends,
I have slipstreamed XP SP3 RC today by nLite. After installing slipstreamed XP SP3, I can't install IE7. IE7 doesn't work with SP3?

I am confused? Or, it isn't working because it's been slipstreamed?

XP SP3 RC is out? :Q

/Hits Google

Edit: IT's not a RC - it's a BETA Service Pack. Just remember to install it on a test rig, OP.

XP SP3 RC1 is out.....installed it today without problems. It did not install IE7 however, in fact it only installed critical updates, as far as I can tell. Hardly worth the trouble...

Got it from MajorGeeks.com.

I would think IE7 would be left out as it should have been installed when SP2
came out, along with all the other updates since then. SP3 may have been
intended to bring all the latest critical updates into one download or to correct
some of the glitches in some of the SP2 and later patches. Personally, I would
not install a beta of SP3 and certainly not from a download that is not direc
from Microsoft (or I would order it on a cd ... better that way)

IE7 and WMP11 were not integrated into SP3 RTC1. You can slipsteam them in with nlite. See the faq section on how to.
