Can't go online with Windows Media Player 11

For some reason, I'm getting an error message saying "Windows Media Player is not configured for the Internet. Before you can use the Media Guide or Radio Tuner features, you must be connected to the internet. To connect to the Internet, run the Internet Connection Wizard and try again." with both WMP 11 and the Zune software. I've tried disabling the Windows firewall, checking "Connect to the Internet" in the options menu, and even using system restore.

I can't run the Internet Connection Wizard because it's been removed in Vista, and changing the value of the default registry entry outlined here does nothing.
