Can't get X-Fi to work...

Well I finally got my X-Fi and for some reason I can't get it to work.

I disabled my onboard sound in the bios.

Deleted the files for my onboard sound ( didn't have an uninstall option in the CP )

Installed the X-Fi

Installed the latest drivers from creatives site

And it does nothing.

It shows up and everything, but I get no sound...

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance...

At least for prior cards Creative hasn't made it easy to get a full driver version online. I'm not sure if that has continued with X-Fi, but I'd recommend uninstalling what you got already and trying the CD drivers and updating them to see if that clears up the problems.

Install beta OpenAl Drivers only off their site. They work as full. If you want all the shiny apps then install off CD first.

make sure your pluging your speakers/headphones into the right ports in the back

double check and make sure whatever you are using is analog or digital
