can't get wine working

I edited the sample wine.conf to match my machine (windows partition mounted at /fat32 as drive C🙂 and my cdroms/floppy, but i can't run anything - it says it isn't accessible from a DOS drive and then it can't find it.
 
huh? I dont understand... I told it to make it vfat/win95 (whichever it is supposed to be) - cause I know dos stuff can't read ext2. something else I have to do?
