can't get to xp's shared on a peer to peer

i can see the other computer under 'view workgroup computers' but when i click on it i get a login box that says connect to (computer name) with a login id and pw. never seen this before and sure don't want it.

this should be so simple!

i found the setting and they are already set to that setting.

You could enable the guest account.

Right click My Computer->Manage. Local Users and Groups->Users and enable the guest account.

I wouldn't do this unless you're behind a firewall/router though....
