I have a network, and 4 computers with a shared hp officejet R60 printer. They all worked before I replaced all 4 computer. Now, only the computer the printer is connected to prints correctly. The others print partial info, half pages, and sometimes junk text. I cant figure it out. I installed the printer on the other machines as well, then changed the port. This is win98se by the way.

If it matters, the lpt1 port is an ECP port, as well as the other computers. IS this the correct port to use, my bios has 3 different ones to choose from.

Any help would be appreciated.

OK, just to recap: You need to have file and printer sharing enabled on all computers that are going to use the printer, including the one it is connected to, then you need to share the printer, and map to it from all of the computers on your network (add a printer option) IIRC there will be an option to install the driver for it, say "have disk" and install it print the test page, make sure it prints correctly, and you should be good to go.

It sounds like a spooling problem...like the printer isn't getting ALL the info from the other 3 PCs. Did you change any wiring around?

Maybe try disabling/uninstalling everything having to do w/that printer, reinstalling it?
