cant get rid of unknown devices in windows xp!!

MrDudeMan

i am using windows xp, and everytime i boot up, it says "found new hardware" and there are 4 devices that it can not find a driver for. i have disabled them in the past, but i want to fix them.

i am running windows xp, gigabyte 8irxp, radeon 8500 128mb retail, wd800jb, onboard sound, onboard lan, 16x dvd drive, 8x SCSI burner (this all started happening before i had the SCSI burner, i used to have a 40x Lite-On), Zip Drive (it was before this was added also), regular floppy drive, and thats it i think...

what the heck is causing this? i installed the motherboard INF drivers, the LAN drivers come with windows, the sound drivers i installed, the USB drivers i tried to install (i think this might be a USB detection problem), i installed the video card drivers (i think this might also have something to do with it), and i installed everything else i can think of...but i still have these "unknown devices" ahhhh!!!!
