Can't get past Post

I put together my new computer last night,

AMD 3800+
2 Gb OCZ Platnum 800Mghz ram
Sapphire Radeon x850xt
Biostar t-force 550 motherboard
Smartpower 2.0 500 wattz PSU

the system will post but it won't allow me to go into bios setup. The LEDs on the motherboard indicate that the RAM, CPU, and Card are functioning correctly. When I hit Del to enter setup the screen goes blank, and stays blank. None of the other option get accepted by the computer, F9 to set boot priority after post, for example.

Please Help
 
When I hit Del I can now enter bios setup but the keyboard stops working. I can hear little Clicks coming from the internal speakers whenever I press a button, but the selector doesn't move and so forth. I am using a USB keyboard if that matters.

Please help!
