Can't get p4p800 to display video

Everything appears to be installed as it should be. The green light comes on. I've tried buffalo technology pc3700 as well as micron pc 2700 which are both supported. Still no video. I've tried clearing cmos/reseating cpu/hsf/ different video cards that i've tested in other machines and know to be working. Another thing thats odd is it doesn't beep at all, even when there is no ram in it. The speaker is hooked up. Seems to not beep at all regardless of anything. Any ideas? Should I just RMA it?

It sounds like nothing is happening when you turn it on. I had a similar problem with a P4C800-E. I bought the mobo, memory and cpu. When I installed it in the old box with my old video and hard drive, nothing! The lights on the motherboard went on and the fans spun but the machine did not boot. I had no video at all and it did not sound like the hard drive was spinning up or the system was doing anything.

Unfortunately, I did not have the spare parts to determine which was bad so I RMA'd the lot. As you have tried different memory, you know that is good. Could be motherboard and could be CPU. Also check to make sure the motherboard is installed correctly and not shorted out. Try getting it to boot with only the video card installed. Do not install any other cards and unplug the floppy and cd's from the motherboard. If it boots then, you can reinstall everything one by one until you finally figure out what the offender is.

Do you really think it could be the processor? I was definately leaning towards mobo, especially where the speak isn't even beeping. I think if I can I'm gonna just buy one locally and rma it. Any other ideas? If it did short anyway of fixing it?
