Can't get my PNY geforce4 4400 working with my Asus nforce A7N266-C

i can't seem to get them to work together. i get no post whatsoever. They both work seperatly on other comps, just not together. Any suggestions?
 
before inserting the geforce in the agp, disable onboard video in bios, then shutdown, and insert the card, see if that works.

/edit: also make sure that there aren't any standoffs in the wrong spot shorting out the mobo when you press the card into place.
