Hi i recently got this setup and at first wasnt plannig on overclocking, but after a few additions i deiced to try it out. In doing so i cant my FSB passed 136, after that either the sytem will not boot or xp will start to load then i get some blue screen saying there some type of conflict and to restart. If i lower the fsb back down below 136 if works fine.

Heres the setup:
Soyo Dragon plus bios 2ba1
Athlon Xp 1800+ locked
alpha pal 8045 w/delta 80mm fan
512 pc2100 ddr crucial ram
pioneer dvd in ide 1 master
liteon 24x burner ide1 slave
maxtor 60.0 gig hd ide 2 master
radeon 8500
audigy xp gamer in pci slot 4
enermax 465w ps
genric case w/ 2 80mm sunon fans ( intake and exhaust)
running win xp
and have ddr timming set as MSNY post in the amdmb.com soyo forums
any response as to how i could increase my fsb and the source holding me back would be greatly appreciated
thanx

I have run into the same problem with the exception that I can't get my FSB past 137. I have a feeling that it might be due to the fact that either the cooling in my case sucks (highly unlikely) or I just got the processor core that is more difficult to overclock.

I upped my FSB to a wopping 134 on my Athlon XP and Asus A7V266 and get frequent errors that made me close down RTCW. I guess some systems just dont want to be overclocked.

First of all. Did you reformat when you changed the mobo or everything is brand new as is when you installed the OS on it?? If you did a transition from an older board to the new board. I suggest that you reformat it.

I was not able to go above 135Mhz before I format my pc but was able to hit 150Mhz after I did it. Why you ask?? I would like to know too. :)
