Can't get BF2 to run 1280x1024

The BF2 icon on your desktop, right click it and select properties.
I believe in the "Target" field you put in what JustAnAverageGuy said, but remember path too, C:\Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" etc.....

Right click your shortcut and add +szx 1280 +szy 1024 to the end of the "..BF2.exe" part, after the quotes.

NOTE: In the BF2 menu it will NOT say 1280x1024 it will still say whatever the last thing you set it at. Don't mind this it will be the correct resolution that you entered in the target field.

yeah, that confused me JBT. also, mine kept crashing to the desktop after the splash screen when i added that. ryanv told me to do a restart after changing it and then its good to go. and it is.

still amazes me they left out 12x10....

Question: Does the size of the ingame map/hud ever change? It looks the same whether I'm in 1024x768 or 1280x1024. I'd think that it'd get alittle smaller at a higher res, but it didn't. Even the chat text is the same size in the two resolutions.

What bugs me the most though, is that I can only play in the middle of the night because of my atrocious ping times.
