cant get audigy to work

I have a SB audigy SE that worked at one point.. i remember taking my computer to a lan and coming back and only getting 2.1 out of it. Now i know the actual speakers work cause when i do a configuration test, (meaning a noise test) sound comes out of all 5 speakers.

Is this a vista issue? what am i doing wrong?

What are you playing that you are only getting 2.1 out of?

I thought I'd heard that Vista had significant problems with sound card support. Yet another reason to stay with XP or switch to Linux.
