In my hey days of drinking, that is my 2nd and 3rd years of college, I'd have a few drinks in me..get buzzed a bit, and not feel sick or anything..and in particular I wouldn't be hungover or anything.

Nowadays though I drink a bit, and even if I just slowly release the alcohol in me, that sickness feeling comes in before that great buzzy feeling does. Slurring comes in before that great feeling of socialness does, which really sucks.

I haven't been sleeping too much the past few days and haven't been eating all that much either. Is that contributing to it? Any tips for a 4th year college student looking to make the most out of his last year?

Food and rest is really necessary to enjoy alcohol without getting sleepy or 'drunk' too fast.

drink until you pass out, and when you pass out tell your friends to keep putting more in your mouth.

stop drinking and smoke pot instead. it will make make you feel much better than alcohol will and you won't die from it.

Food definitely helps...but not a whole lot or you will get "food coma"

You might also try different types of booze

Stop drinking so much. This is a sure sign that your drinking too much. Probably every day, or 2-3 times a week at the least. Stop drinking for a whole week, even skip the weekend. Then the following weekend you will notice a difference

word - your tolerance level is increasing to the point where you can't get a buzz as easily and it won't last as long. take a breather!! :p

Yeah, you god damn drunkard.

I believe we're supposed to refer to him as a "lush" but I could be wrong.

This past summer I drank maybe 4-5 times in total. I'm back in college now and last night was the 2nd time in about a week.

I do remember my best buzz came this summer after eating a big dinner at Cheesecake Factory. So I do think it could be the lack of food I've had before doing the deed..

Im not sure what your problem is..... Tolerance?

I have to drink a LOT before I get a buzz.... but before I get accused of wagging my e-penis around, it really sucks for 99% of the time...

There are VERY few circumstances after college that having a high tolerance is useful.... it costs more to drink/get a buzz, other people get one and you are left out as they buzzing, you have to drink more calories in beer, and you might get pulled over with no buzz and still have close to the legal limit in your system, which means you have to count drinks rather than feel it out

Try switching liquors. I tend to act differently depending on what I drink.

Beer
Bourbon
Scotch
Vodka
Wine

All give me different moods from drinking.

saying I only drink 6 beers a day would be an understatement.

I milk them so I usually just relax a bit....however, I up the drink count to say 12-20 a night I am having problems...sickness is non-existant, but I am not trying to drink as much as I can either. I do have days I feel like crap after though from time to time, usually after some frustrating project or equivalent.

I have been 'drinking' as in going out to clubs/bars since 15, about 20 years ago
