It seems like every time I get a haircut, I end up looking totally different afterwards. Which one of these 2 pictures do you guys thinks looks better? Based on that, what is it about that picture that makes me look better in it? Hair? Facial expression? I am extremely non photogenic and I never look normal in pictures. Any other suggestions on how to improve my appearance?

The first few days after a haircut I never look normal. After that point though I look ok. My look differs every single haircut though. The barber never seems to give the same cut twice.

This first picture is me about a week after a haircut.

This second picture is me about 1.5 months after a haircut.

Which is better and why?

I think you spend too much time looking in the mirror. Aside from the sides being a little longer in the second picture, you look the same to me.

I agree with you about the spending too much time looking in the mirror. I want to look my best though.

You sure I look the same in both? Obviously I'm not going to look drastically different, but I personally think I look much better in the first picture. Hmm...

No, I purposely wore a similar shirt in the second shot to minimize the differences between the photos.

Every guy looks totally different for a few days after a hair cut.

But a different look after every haircut? My barber seriously can't give a consistent haircut.

Do I look better in the first picture with my hair messy or in the second picture with my hair neat?

Since kids above, as always, did nothing but making 'witty' replies instead of answering your question, I will.

1 looks nice and clean. You look sharp and good looking there (AND professional, if you're in for interviews). Stick with this. 2 looks like a near-emo narcissistic Mac 'hip' loser.

Stick with 1.

Thank you for an actual serious reply. LOL on your descriptions. Yeah I also think I look better in the first one. The problem is that this is the first time the barber has cut my hair this way. I have no idea what to tell him next time to make it look the same.

agreed with above but dude, lose the chest hair

I usually wear a white t-shirt under my regular shirt. Must have not bothered that day. Agree with you. Chest hair sticking out definitely looks bad.

First one looks better, but it looks like you need a haircut in it. Too poofy for my taste. Second one looks like you just had a helmet on.

I've been using the same barber my entire life and I don't really want to insult him, but yeah it might be a good idea to try someone new.

What do you suggest? Which facial features in those pictures specifically make me look goofy?

Ever seen that movie, Faceoff?

I think that might be a bit drastic.

In both pictures? When my hair is any shorter than that first picture I look horrible.

In the first picture, I got a haircut 6 days before that was taken. I tend to look terrible with shorter hair.

I was actually a member before '99 on the old forum software, but didn't bother to register on the new software until sometime in December '99, as I don't really post all that often (look at my post count). I was 16 in '99 though. I'm 24 now. Do I look like I'm only 20?

Yes. I'm 20 and I'd say you look like you'd be about my age (unless I look older than other 20 year olds and I don't think I do).

Fred Savage. That's that kid's name. Yeah, definitely go with the first picture.
