Can't find the important stuff on VG920B

Sorry to pollute the forum with such a question, but after checking out the LCD buyer's guide I still have to ask it. I think I'm ready to go from CRT to LCD. I would need it primarily for photo work/CG and gaming secondary. So getting an 8 bit panel is much more crucial to me than anything else.

The Viewsonic VG920B seems to be the right product at the right price, but unfortunately I can't find any of the important specs on it. Does anyone know the color reproduction/panel supplier? Or, can anyone recommend an LCD that fits those criteria? I'm trying to stay pretty reasonable with the money, so no 23" or 'Professional' level super monitors.

Thanks!

To me it looks like the VG920B is just another "gaming" type display not suited well for photo-editing. I'd recommend the Samsung 970P (6-bit). It's important to realize the real difference isn't whether it's 6-bit or 8-bit, but the contrast and uniformity of the panel. The 970P scores the best of any 19" below $500 in these areas. There might be a couple Eizo 19" ones more suited but you had already stated you wished to lean toward the consumer area and not the "prosumer".

I'm not sure how it compares to other similar LCDs, but one of my professors has that VG920 in his office and the black level on it looks like crap to me.
