Have an old system I reformatted yesterday but now the damn thing wont recognize the network adapter card, from what i can tell its a realtek adapter. It was working fine before the format. I DL some drivers from a few sources but none of them work. i tried the rtlnic.sys driver but cant figure out where to put it, I tried a few other things but it keeps telling me the driver isnt right and the device wont work. what do I do?

its an internal card not wireless and the only thing on it is that gts #

Ok, MonKENy. Can you do this for me:

1. Start - Run type in "DEVMGMT.MSC" without the quotes
2. The Ethernet driver in question should have a yellow question/exclamation mark
3. Double click it
4. Go to the Details tab
5. Post the Device Instance Id... usually starts something like "PCI\VEN_XXXX&DEV_XXXX"

im an idiot, i was looking for the wrong drivers. i found the one i needed, apparently i am running a D-Link nic. Problem solved now. Thanks for the help guys.
