Cant find a decent video player / mp3 player

I am getting very frustrated with these compatibility issues. I bought an iriver T10 1gb mp3 player from best buy 2 years ago. it was the best thing I had ever had, small, easy to use, and easy to sync. well it crapped out a month ago. I also got that replacement plan from bb so I had $200 towards a new... well anything. so I forked up an extra 50 bucks and got a video ipod. well that thing sucks. I put the thing in my pocket to walk around finding out that when ever you do put the thing in ur pocket u better put the hold button on cuz ur going to go deaf (the volume kept on changing due to the wheel) and the fact that all my movies were in avi divx format and apple being the idiots they are decided to make the device only read one format mp4. plus ever time I wanted to change the sync setting on the pc it erased all of my songs and videos, wtf. so I went back today and exchanged that with a zune. and that?s were I am now. bb salesman said that it would read avi divx, that liar the program it uses to sync (not wmp even tho it?s a microsoft device) doesn?t recognize any format other then mp4. plus don?t buy into the wi-fi which is pointless (to connect to other zunes to share mp3s for which u can only play 3 times!!) well getting to the point are there any devices out there that don?t require an extra hour to convert movies (avi compatible) that bb is known to carry
